Bathroom Installation

A Complete Bathroom, Fitted Start to Finish

A bathroom installation is more than swapping a suite. It means stripping the old room back, checking what's behind the walls and under the floor, adjusting pipework, preparing surfaces, then fitting, tiling, sealing and finishing everything so it looks right and keeps working for years.

With Camms Bathrooms, Ryan handles the job himself, with a labourer brought in now and then: the free site visit, the 3D design, the strip-out, the plumbing, the tiling and the final clean. You aren't passed between a salesperson, a plumber and a tiler who have never spoken to each other. One person knows your bathroom inside out, so decisions are made quickly and you always know who to ask.

It suits homeowners replacing a tired or leaking bathroom, people renovating a newly bought house, and landlords or holiday let owners who need a hard-wearing room fitted with minimal fuss.

Why it matters

What Happens If You Put It Off

Hidden leaks spread

Failing seals and worn grout let water behind tiles and under floors. Left alone, that can rot boards and joists and stain ceilings below, turning a refit into a repair job.

Mould and damp take hold

Old, poorly ventilated bathrooms trap moisture. Mould returns however often you clean, and damp can spread into neighbouring rooms.

Costs rise the longer you wait

A bathroom that's simply dated today can become one with water damage tomorrow, and the extra repairs add to the bill.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Choosing the cheapest quote with no clear scope, then facing extras mid-job
  • Buying a suite before the room has been measured and planned
  • Using separate trades who don't co-ordinate, causing delays
  • Skipping proper preparation under tiles and around the shower

In detail

What a Full Bathroom Installation Involves

Strip-out and preparation

The old suite, tiles and fittings are removed and taken away. Walls and floors are checked, repaired and prepared so the new surfaces sit flat and stay sealed.

Plumbing and first fix

Pipework is moved or updated to suit the new layout, from relocating a toilet to adding a concealed shower valve or wall-mounted taps.

Suite, tiling and finishing

Baths, showers, basins, vanity units and toilets are fitted, followed by wall and floor tiling or wall panels, silicone sealing and final fixings.

Styles and layouts

From traditional freestanding baths to modern wall-hung vanities and walk-in showers, the layout is planned around how you use the room every day.

Domestic and commercial

Ryan fits bathrooms for homeowners as well as landlords, holiday lets and other commercial clients, where durability and quick turnaround matter most.

Electrics

Ryan doesn't do electrical work. If you want new lighting, an extractor fan, a heated mirror or underfloor heating, he can recommend an electrician he works with often, booked and paid separately.
